This toy was built for my Grandson Jonathan, for one of his Christmas gifts. I purchased the plans online and started construction in October. The ark is made out of pine and the animal cutouts are made out of ash, red oak, walnut, cypress, pine, maple, cedar and purple heart. The ark is stained with dark oak stain and finished with sanding sealer and wax. The animals are finished with rub-on polyurethane and wax. I hope he enjoys this toy as much as he does his Thomas train set.
