Find A Grave
A written and photographic survey of Ogden Cemetery was
completed spring of 2006 by
Glenda Warner Boyd, Gwen Horne, and Barbara Underwood.
With diligent and thorough research, a time consuming archival work was
done by
Glenda's cousin, Ron Manley. His work added with other Franklin Parish contributors
to the Find A Grave website has made all burials in Ogden Cemetery
available to
researchers by the publication of Ogden Cemetery, Franklin Parish, LA on
the
Find A Grave website.
We appreciate all the work done by Ron Manley. Also, many thanks to
Shirley Burks
Wells and all Find A Grave contributors for their help on Ogden Cemetery
on Find A
Grave.

provides
additional pictures and a location map of the cemetery.

The Ogden Cemetery is located on Hwy 870 in Franklin
Parish, Louisiana. For directions to the cemetery or to search the
survey that has been completed, click on the link,
located on the right.
The cemetery is operated by a perpetual (trust) fund,
which is used for the upkeep and maintenance. This fund was started
back in 1970’s, with good participation from everyone. Only the
interest from the trust fund can be used by the cemetery for the upkeep of
the cemetery. At the present time, with interest rates low, there
are not enough proceeds from this trust fund to take care of the
cemetery’s upkeep and maintenance. Many people have been making
donations periodically, which have helped during this time of low interest
income. If you have loved ones buried in cemetery and would like to
make donations, they would be greatly appreciated.
A donation of
$250.00 per person is requested for each interment if no prior
arrangements have been made. A donation of $250.00 is required for
reserving burial plots. Markers or monuments must be installed within six
months on all reserved plots.
To make any donations to the cemetery fund or if you
have inquiries, please contact one of the listed officers of the cemetery. |
